Sensitive is a marketing word on most bags. Here it means a genuinely short list: white fish, potato, pea fibre, fish oil, beet pulp, chicory root and the vitamin and mineral premix. Eleven lines on the composition panel, which is short enough that you and your vet can actually reason about it.
Chicory root supplies inulin, a prebiotic that feeds the gut bacteria most likely to be depleted after a course of antibiotics or a long run of bad stools. It is not a treatment for anything. It is a food that gets out of the way while the gut settles.
Transition slowly. With a sensitive dog, take fourteen days rather than seven: a tenth of the bowl for two days, then a fifth, and so on. Rushing an elimination diet is the most common reason people conclude a food "did not work" when it never got a fair run.
Chronic diarrhoea, weight loss, blood or vomiting are not food-shopping problems. Get a diagnosis first; then this is a reasonable maintenance food to come back to. We would rather sell you nothing today than sell you a bag instead of a vet visit.
