Joint Support Omega Chews

Stiffness after a long walk, hesitating at the car boot, taking the stairs one at a time. These are the small changes owners notice a year before they mention them. A joint supplement is not a treatment, but it is a reasonable, low-risk thing to start early, and it is the most common thing our customers ask for by the time a dog turns eight.

Each chew carries 500mg glucosamine, 400mg chondroitin, 100mg green-lipped mussel and 90mg combined EPA/DHA. We print those numbers on the front of the tub because most supplements do not, and a dose you cannot read is a dose you cannot compare or discuss with a vet.

Dosing is by bodyweight: one chew under 15kg, two up to 30kg, three above. They are soft and beef-flavoured, so most dogs take them as a treat; for the ones that do not, press the chew into a spoon of wet food. Give it eight weeks before you judge it. This class of supplement is slow, and anything that promises a difference in days is selling you something else.

This is a complementary feed, not a medicine. It does not replace veterinary assessment, pain relief, weight management or physiotherapy, and it should not be started alongside prescribed medication without asking your vet first.
