Calming Donut Bed in Moss
Inclusive of VAT. High-walled bolster bed with a machine-washable cover
The reason donut beds work is contact. Dogs and cats settle faster when something is touching their back, and a raised bolster ring gives them that on three sides without shutting them in. Anxious dogs curl into the wall; confident ones sprawl over it and use it as a pillow. Both are fine.
The filling is a recycled-fibre cluster, not a flat wadding sheet, so the ring keeps its height after the first few washes instead of collapsing into a sad rim. The base is a separate 6cm foam pad. That is what stops a bony older dog feeling the floor through it.
The cover unzips completely and washes at 40°C. That is the specification that actually decides whether a bed lasts a year, because the beds that get thrown out are almost always the ones that could not be cleaned. Air dry it; a tumble dryer will shrink the cover onto the pad and you will never get it back on.
Sizing is by the animal at full stretch, not curled. Measure nose to tail base, add 15cm, and pick the size that covers it. If your dog likes to sprawl, size up. Nobody has ever complained that a bed was too big.

“Anxious rescue who could never settle. She presses her spine into the bolster and sleeps through the evening now.”
“Muddy spaniel, so it goes in most weeks. Cover still fits, ring still has its height. Air dried every time as instructed.”
“Bought medium for a 20kg dog who sprawls. He hangs off it. Large would have been right.”
